  • Over the past 10 years, Linsambarth has been investigating the ways in which art can be applied to everyday political life. From his experience, the ways or means to achieve this have been variable, where ultimately the anecdotal part of a story or narrative is what he uses as an investigative supply.
I have always believed that in no case should art seek or represent a theme, but it is a language of its own, which has codes and symbologies inherent to its own nature, interesting me in the relationship or dialogue that exists between the enigmatic and the timeless, where the artist tries to relate from somewhere moderately possible with the viewer, yielding to different analyses or perceptions. His work does not seek certainty, becoming almost exclusively in approaches that represent some feeling or longing of his own.
His working media are mainly Painting, Video and Installation, although painting plays a prominent role in how he thinks or initiates a work (independent of the medium to be used): it is the starting point of any project from a theoretical conception, this means, that even working in a different medium to the pictorial, Linsambarth composes in the same way he would begin to execute a painting.
Over time, he has discovered that his works share a common denominator: they represent the political daily life of any average citizen, who, like the author, finds it difficult to conceive his particular environment and tries to understand it through his own work.
Finally, “memory” as a concept is the “place” to which he always resorts, highlighting personal and collective events that have marked his own existence.
