Born in 1988, Lima-Peru
Lives and works in Lima, Peru.
She holds a BFA from PUCP Lima with special mention in painting. Her work investigates and identifies violence disguised and endorsed in the everydayness of life. This ongoing investigation is encompassed by a reflexive gaze in regards to one another and a persistent and infinite process of the struggle to prevail. The medium and materials are chosen project-specific (ceramics, painting, installation among others).
She has participated in exhibitions such as “Daphne”, Carmen Jiménez Center, organized by the Centre for Equality of La Zubia in collaboration with the University of Granada, Spain 2019; “Avistaje”, a collaboration between Piedras Galería & Vigil Gonzales Galería, Perú 2019; “Cisne Rojo, Cisne Azul / Red Swan, Blue Swan”, Aldo Chaparro Studio, México 2019; “Infinito Devenir ”, Cultural Center Ricardo Palma, Perú 2017; “Percepciones Contemporáneas / Contemporary Perceptions”, Ccori Wasi Cultural Center, Perú 2017.; “Forget Tomorrow II”, at L’Imaginaire Gallery of the Alliance Française, Perú 2014.; “Eternal Present”, Colich Gallery, Perú 2013 (solo); “We are Amphibians, evolves or dies,” OOPS! Space and Local Project - Terminal 1, Chile 2012, among others. She has participated in several local competitions such as: National Visual Arts Competition Passport for an Artist edition 2013, 2016 and 2019; VIII National Painting Competition Central Reserve Bank of Peru 2016; Site-specific interventions in the Historic Center of Lima organized by the Telefonica Foundation Center in 2009. She got an Honorable Mention in the Art Call: Art In Situ, organized by Municipality of Miraflores, Lima, Perú 2016 and recently she participated in a collaborative residency between JSA architects and Aldo Chaparro studios in Mexico City.
